BACKGROUND

Background.

Each year the Guilford Soil & Water Conservation District in partnership with Greensboro Water Resources holds its annual contests as part of its educational outreach efforts. This year's theme, students in grades K-2, was, “Saving Water is Always in Season”, and for students grades 3-6 the theme was “Water… the Cycle of Life”. Kyleene Rooks, Guilford Soil & Water Conservation Education Coordinator, and Latoya Harris with Greensboro Water Resources, would like to recognize and present those Guilford County student winners (attached) for this year's contest.

The Envirothon is an annual academic hands-on environmental problem-solving competition for middle and high school-aged students in the United States and Canada held every year. Guilford County’s middle school team, “Pandamonium”, from the Academy at Lincoln, came in first place among the teams from 11 counties.
