BACKGROUND
Background
Voluntary Agricultural Districts (VAD) and Enhanced Voluntary Agricultural Districts (EVAD) were developed by the NC Department of Agriculture to encourage the preservation and protection of farmland from non-farm development.
During its March 19, 2018 meeting the Guilford County Agricultural Advisory Board approved the following application:
1. EVAD Application #2018-03, being 23 acres and comprised of one (1) Tax Parcel (#0131880 @ 23.0 acres), all owned by Colton Gray Perdue of Pleasant Garden, NC.
To date, approval of this application brings the total number of VAD and EVAD parcels to 375 totaling, 16,299.76 acres enrolled. Of these totals, 341 parcels comprising 14,878.16 acres are enrolled in VAD, and 34 parcels comprising 1421.6 acres are enrolled in the EVAD.
