BACKGROUND
Background
The FY 2017-18 adopted budget included an estimate of Home and Community Care Block Grant (HCCBG) funding for aging adult in-home aide, day and respite care, nutrition, and transportation programs. An updated funding agreement and plan, attached, are now available. The HCCBG funding was updated in August 2017 to reflect actual funding, but an additional update has been sent to the county in February 2018. The updated agreement needs to be approved and the budget increased by $15,438 to reflect additional intergovernmental funding for qualified services. The required local match adjustment of $1,111 will come from existing budgeted funds in the Health and Human Services - Social Services Division budget.

REQUESTED ACTION
Requested Action
Approve the attached updated FY 2017-18 Home and Community Block Grant funding plan and approve an increase in Federal/State Revenues by $15,438 and increase the FY 2017-18 Health and Human Services - Social Services budget the same amount. Authorize staff to make and approve any necessary adjustments to agency service contracts to match the updated plan funding.
