BACKGROUND
Background
After consulting with Forsyth County, a 10.00 acre parcel of the property described above, is available for purchase and has received tentative approval from the Forsyth County Board of Commissioners. It lies with approximately 8 +/- acres within Guilford County. It is intended for use by Triad Park. It is currently contracted for purchase at the amount of $7,000 per acre or $70,000 total. Guilford County would be subject to paying for 50% of that costs, or $35,000 plus 50% of due diligence and closing fees. We would like to enter into a contract, conduct Due Diligence, and investigate any significant findings on the property. The Parks and Rec Committee supports purchase.

Requested Action
Authorize staff to proceed with the contracting of the property, to proceed with and pay for 50% of Due Diligence, and report back to the Board any matters of concern for the property located at 246 Willow Creek Rd, Kenersville, NC. Authorize staff to take all reasonable and necessary steps to place property under contract and conduct Due Diligence.
