BACKGROUND
Background
Financials of foster care room and board payments through December 31, 2017 will be reported to the BOCC. Official reports will be available by the second week of January 2018.
There are two major initiatives that we are moving forward with for 2018 that will address the number of children in Foster Care.
1. The Family Law Facilitator Program will address the number of children coming in to care when there is a viable family member available to safely care for children.
2. Our work with Southeastern Work Force Strategies will focus on removing the system barriers to children reunifying with their parents and/or achieving alternative permanency timely.
