BACKGROUND
Background
Guilford County Emergency Management has been awarded additional funding through the 2015 Homeland Security Grant Program (HSGP) Grant from North Carolina Emergency Management (NCEM), for the purposes of supporting a full scale disaster exercise in 2018. NCEM MOA #1504-37 in the amount of $3,000 is for the purpose of supporting the UNCG Disaster Exercise in 2018 to evaluate the procedures for responding to a multi-agency disaster scenario. UNCG has received a grant to fund the majority of the exercise, and this supplemental grant will fund rehabilitation supplies and meals for an estimated 300 exercise participants.

REQUESTED ACTION
Requested Action
Approve a $3,000 increase in Federal/State Revenue and increase the FY 2017-18 Emergency Services budget by the same amount, to reflect receipt of additional funding through the 2015 Homeland Security Grant Program from North Carolina Emergency Management. Funds will be used to support a full scale disaster exercise in 2018.
