BACKGROUND
Background
The Guilford County Property Management Division of the Facilities Department would like to enter into a one (1) year lease with BEST for a Greenhouse located at the County Farm. BEST is a non-profit organization that reaches out to troubled African-American male youth (14-24 years of age) in the community and hopes to provide them with education and training on growing a hydroponic garden and taking what they learn back to their communities. They would be referred youth from the Greensboro Police Department and the Guilford County Sheriff's Department and would train them with the assistance of North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University Agricultural Extension Department. The lease cost is $100.00 a month ($1200.00 annually) and they are responsible for gas utilities.

Requested Action
Approve, in substantial form, the lease agreement for the BEST to rent greenhouse space at 7315 Howerton Road, Gibsonville, NC (1,200.00 Annually) and authorize staff to take all reasonable actions to finalize and execute said lease.
