BACKGROUND
Background
Law Enforcement has received a Governor's Highway Safety Grant in the amount of $63,000 to support the regional oversight of the following Highway Safety campaigns: Click It or Ticket and Booze It & Lose It. $20,000 of the total grant amount was included in the adopted budget. The agenda item will appropriate the remaining $43,000. In addition, the Board is requested to adopt the attached local governmental resolution for the grant.

REQUESTED ACTION
Requested Action
Approve receipt of the 2017 Governor's Highway Safety Law Enforcement Liaison Grant in the amount of $63,000 and adopt the accompanying local governmental resolution. Increase Federal/State Revenues by $43,000 and the FY 2018 Law Enforcement budget by $43,000 to reflect receipt of grant funds in addition to the $20,000 included in the adopted budget.
