BACKGROUND
Background
The Guilford County Department of Health and Human Services - Public Health Division received $16,000 in funding from the North Carolina Department of Health Human Services (NCDHHS) Epidemiology/Communicable Disease for activities related to HIV/STD Online Courses. In this capacity Public Health will develop and administer online training courses for HIV/STD for new STD clinicians/medical providers in North Carolina. Funds from this program will be used to temporarily offset county costs for existing staff time ($13,500) and the cost associated with production of online training videos ($2,500).

REQUESTED ACTION
Requested Action
Approve an increase of $16,000 in Federal/State Revenue; a decrease in Appropriated Fund Balance (General County) of $13,500 to reflect the temporary off-set of county-funded salaries by grant funds, and increase the FY 2017-18 Health & Human Services - Public Health Division budget by $2,500 to reflect grant funds to be used for costs associated with production of online HIV/STD training videos. All Federal/State funds are grant funds awarded from North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services Epidemiology/Communicable Disease for HIV/STD Online Courses.
