BACKGROUND
Background
In May 2016, the Family Justice Center (FJC) received a donation of $15,000 from The Weaver Foundation and $15,000 from The Verizon Foundation to assist with implementation of the Camp HOPE program in August 2017 within Guilford County. A portion of these funds are included in the FY 2017-18 budget towards camp supplies and provisions ($1,500), and to cover the cost of Camp HOPE affiliation fees ($3,500).
In July 2017, a final agreement was reached with the YMCA of Greensboro regarding the total number of camp participants, and the remaining unappropriated donated funds ($25,000) will be used to cover fees, and associated camp expenses, for thirty-six (36) campers and ten (10) counselors attending the inaugural session of the Camp HOPE program in Guilford County, which will be held August 13-18, 2017 at the YMCA of Greensboro's Camp Weaver.
This resolution appropriates donated funds received last year into the current year's budget to Camp HOPE related fees and expenses.

Requested Action
Approve an increase of $25,000 in Appropriated Fund Balance and increase the FY 2017-18 Family Justice Center budget by the same amount to cover camper and counselor fees, in addition to other expenses associated with the operation of the August 2017 Camp HOPE program in Guilford County.
