BACKGROUND
Background
The next phase for the Rich Fork Preserve was to develop a design for the proposed Trail Network, in accordance with the master plan. KCI Associates of North Carolina were authorized to develop this plan and have since developed a design that meets the qualifications. The plan was taken to the Guilford County Parks and Recreation Commission where it was approved on Tuesday, June 13, 2017. It was then taken on display for the public to view at 4 locations as well as a public information session held at the High Point Public Library. The Project planning that has been completed by KCI can qualify for the matching portion of RTP grant for trails development on the Rich Fork Preserve and Guilford County Watershed Trails.

Requested Action
Approve the trail system design plan for the Rich Fork Preserve. Acknowledge that the County is willing to identify the KCI development and design as an in-kind match for the RTP grant.
