BACKGROUND

background

The Facilities, Property Management, and Parks Department Director determined a need for on call Professional Architectural & Engineering Services. Event #577 Request for Qualification was released. The County's Purchasing Department reached out to MWBE firms to encourage participation.  Details of outreach attached. On June 23, 2017 the event closed with seven (7) firms responding to the RFQ. Guilford County Facilities is recommending we award a contract to #1 through #6. The base contract with each firm will be for two (2) years with the option for three (3) one-year renewal options. The total contract amount over the five (5) year period cannot exceed $5,000,000. Individual work orders will be negotiated for each project. Typical work order range from $20,000 to $150,000.
