BACKGROUND
Background
The Aging and Adult Services Division (AASD) is managed by Jenise Horton-Davis. This division assists the aging and disabled population of Guilford County in achieving and maintaining a safe and healthy quality of life while promoting their independence.
The AASD is currently composed of six (6) programs: Adult Protective Services, Adult Foster Care, Guardianship, Adult Outreach and Support, In-Home Aide and Veterans Services.
The presentation outlines service trends of these programs, the various audits to ensure programmatic compliance, and federal and state funding streams.
The staff of AASD have developed departmental teams to not only give back to the community, but also build and strengthen the teamwork of the division. Innovative programs have been designed for staff development and to foster a partnership with area colleges to attract and retain talent.
