BACKGROUND
Background
Guilford County uses Lawson as their Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software tool. We have been a Lawson customer since 2006. In 2012, Lawson was acquired by Infor.
Infor software is used to perform critical functions such as County Human Resources, payroll processing, financial accounting, vendor sourcing, purchasing and contract management. They offer Software as a Service (SaaS) as a subscription model which has provided Guilford County with the following benefits:
Software upgrades
Hardware upgrades
Disaster Recovery
Cost containment by including annual maintenance
High Availability
By renewing our current agreement with Infor, we will be able to continue using the software to perform the critical functions as mentioned above.

Budget Impact
Total cost of $1,538,630.14 over forty-one (41) months from April 1, 2017 through August 31, 2020 with payment terms as below:
$112,191.78 for the period from April 1, 2017 through June 30, 2017
$76,438.36 for the period from July 1, 2017 through August 31, 2017
$450,000.00 for the period from September 1, 2017 through August 31, 2018
$450,000.00 for the period from September 1, 2018 through August 31, 2019
$450,000.00 for the period from September 1, 2019 through August 31, 2020

Requested Action
Approve renewal of Software as a Service (SaaS) subscription agreement with Infor in the amount of $1,538,630.14, to be incurred over a period of forty-one (41) months starting from April 1, 2017 through August 31, 2020.
