BACKGROUND
background
The existing maintenance facility that Emergency Services utilizes, located at 1321 N. O'Henry Boulevard, Greensboro, NC is inadequate for the current fleet and staff. The BOC has made efforts to move a new facility forward; however, the site selection and building of a new location will take some time to complete. Emergency Services has found a suitable location to lease for a period of three (3) years in the amount of $5,500 per month ($66,000 annually), with the option for extension.

Approve lease for Emergency Services, in substantial form, with Harry D. Johnson and Susan L. Johnson in the amount of $5,500 per month ($66,000 annually) for a facility located at 6342-C Burnt Poplar Road, Greensboro, NC 27409 to be effective March 1, 2017 for a term of three (3) years. Funding for the lease is included in the adopted FY 2016-17 Emergency Services budget.
