BACKGROUND

Background

Through a funding agreement with Wake Forest University Health Sciences, the Guilford County Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) - Public Health Division has received an award in the amount of $33,282 to serve as a model Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD) clinic for the Alabama / North Carolina STD/HIV training center. In this capacity, Public Health will serve as a secondary training site for the Prevention Training Center Program and will provide training to a minimum of 22 participants. Funding originated from a federal grant from the National Center for HIV/AIDS, Viral Hepatitis, STD and TB Prevention Centers and will be used to temporarily offset County costs for existing staff time.
