BACKGROUND
background
For many years, the Medic Unit stationed in Colfax has moved to the Airport area from 8:00am to 6:00pm during weekdays. This is accomplished with housing at Greensboro Fire Station #20, located at 8404 W. Market St., Greensboro, NC 27409. Due to recent operational changes, Greensboro Fire Department (GFD) has relocated a ladder truck to this location, and necessitated a move of this "posting" location. The Department of Emergency Services and the County Manager approached the Piedmont Triad Airport Authority about a lease of space in the "old" airport fire station, located at 7716 Airline Dr., Greensboro, NC 27409. Lease terms are for month to month consideration in the amount of $210 per month ($2,520 annually), including utilities. Any upfit of the property is the responsibility of the County and will remain with the property owner upon termination.
