BACKGROUND
Background
DHHS - Public Health (PH) Division has received funding from the Epidemiology/PH Preparedness & Response Branch of the NC Department of Health and Human Services - Division of Public Health to enhance public health emergency preparedness planning and operational readiness for high consequence pathogens such as Ebola and Zika virus disease.
These funds will be used for supplies, training and professional services.

Requested Action
Approve an increase of $10,000 in Federal/State Revenues, and increase the FY 2016-17 Department of Health and Human Services - Public Health Division budget by the same amount, to reflect funds awarded to the County from the Epidemiology/PH Preparedness & Response Branch of the NC Department of Health and Human Services - Division of Public Health.
