BACKGROUND
Background
The Board of Commissioners is being requested to accept the 2017 Schedule of Values, Standards and Rules for Guilford County's real property revaluation, in accordance with NCGS 105-317. Uniform schedules of values and rules required in appraising real property at its true value and at its present use are prepared to enable those making appraisals to adhere to them in appraising property equitably. Acceptance of the Schedule of Values (SOV) by the Board on October 6, 2016 will be followed by a public hearing to receive public comment on the SOV on October 20, 2016, and formal adoption of the SOV on November 17, 2016.
