BACKGROUND
Background
The UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, specifically the USDA Farm Service Agency, and Guilford County entered into a lease of 2,322 net square feet of office space at the Guilford County owned property located at 3309 Burlington Road, Greensboro, NC, commonly referred to as the Agricultural Extension Center, in 1975. The last extension expired on July 31, 2015. Through corrections and negotiations, the USDA has proposed an extension of three (3) years, expiring July 31, 2018 at the compensation rate of $23,220 annually. This represents a 43% increase over the expired lease rate of $16,254 annually.
