BACKGROUND
Background
Guilford Technical Community College (GTCC) has several capital projects funded with bonds issued by Guilford County. GTCC is requesting to transfer $4,609,151 to Transportation and Welding Facilities from the existing bond projects of Northwest Cameron ($2,626,522), Aviation Center Classroom Building ($251,442) and HVAC and Classroom Renovations ($1,731,187). Included in the original bond referendum, this project provides for renovation of property and facilities at the Jamestown Campus in lieu of construction of new facilities at Northwest Campus. At this time, GTCC is also requesting renaming the "Transportation and Welding Facilities Project" to the "Center for Advanced Manufacturing".
