BACKGROUND
Background
On May 7, 2015, the Guilford County Board of Commissioners declared the above referenced property as surplus property to be sold Sealed Bid, Upset Bid or through other applicable guidelines. Pursuant to N.C.G.S. 160A-274, the property may be sold to another governmental unit through negotiated sale without the need for Upset Bids. The Tax Value on the property is $43,600 ($35,600 Buildings, $8000 Land), however that includes the value of a 1,638 square foot home that was removed prior to County ownership. The current total for taxes owed and associated fees on the property is $3,701.84.

REQUESTED ACTION
Requested Action
Accept an offer to purchase County owned surplus property located at 1100 Campbell Street, High Point, NC in the amount of $3,701.84. Authorize the County Manager to enter into and execute a sales contract with the City of High Point, and authorize staff to take all reasonable and necessary steps to execute the sale of the property.
