BACKGROUND

background

The Greensboro Fire Department maintains a Basic Education Institution through the NC Office of EMS with endorsement of the Guilford County EMS system.  They have had several previous contracts with physicians contracted through the County for identical services; however, it was determined to be in the best interests of all parties that the names be removed from the agreement to be the role of the Guilford County Medical Director, or designee to fulfill the education advisor role.  By doing so, these changes prevent the need for any contract amendments as a result of personnel changes among the parties.

Approve interlocal agreement with the City of Greensboro, on behalf of its Fire Department, in substantial form, for the Guilford County Medical Director or designee to act as their Education Medical Advisor.
