BACKGROUND

Background

Walmart Spark Good grants are local cash awards, ranging from $250 to $5,000, that support eligible non-profits, schools and government agencies in their communities. The grants are part of Walmart's broader Spark Good program and are awarded by individual Walmart and Sam's Club facilities to address unique local needs, such as food distribution, health programs, and community clean-up projects. Applications are typically accepted on a quarterly basis through a dedicated online portal. The Guilford County Sheriff’s Office submitted a funding request for a grant to the Reentry Food Drive occurring in November. The Walmart Store on West Wendover Avenue has generously agreed to grant $1,888 for the Reentry Food Drive. Funds will be used to purchase both non-perishable and fresh food for reentry participants.
