BACKGROUND
Background
Guilford County Department of Health and Human Services - Public Health Division has received an award in the amount of $2,941 from the State Division of Public Health / Environmental Health Section to enable local governments to use local and state resources, and technical skills, to characterize the potential local risk of transmission and control of Zika virus. Local Health departments will purchase equipment and supplies needed to conduct surveys designed to evaluate the local risk by determining the presence of container-inhabiting mosquitos in North Carolina, in particular Aedes species.
