BACKGROUND

background

DHHS -  Public Health Division has entered into an agreement with North Carolina Health Information Exchange Authority (NC HIEA). NC HIEA was created and enabled by the NC General Assembly to assume operations of the existing health information exchange and associated network. NC HIEA is engaged in the oversight, administration, and operation of the network, and in connection therewith makes available certain services for use by participants. Participants may submit or receive data through the exchange and be a data provider or a data recipient.
