BACKGROUND
background
During a special work session on Tuesday, August 9, 2022, the Guilford County Board of Commissioners approved funding in the amount of $200,000 for the purpose of improvements to water infrastructure supporting fire protection services in southwest Guilford County along Highway 62.
To execute this funding allocation, Guilford County will enter into an interlocal agreement with the City of High Point to install eleven fire hydrants on the existing water line that runs from the Randleman Lake to the City of High Point in the Pinecroft Sedgefield Fire District.
This agreement will be funded under the Federal Expenditure Category 6.1 Revenue Replacement: Provision of Government Services.

Approve the interlocal agreement with the City of High Point to install fire hydrants on the water line that runs from Randleman Lake and authorize the County Manager, or designee, to enter into an agreement, in substantial form, with the City of High Point in the amount of $200,000 from the total allocation of ARPA/ARPA-enabled funds.
