BACKGROUND
Background
The attached revision to the Juvenile Crime Prevention Council (JCPC) funding plan for FY 2024 requires the following changes. All of the changes are line-item adjustments based on third quarter accounting review and to align budgets for FY24. JCPC funds are not affected, only outside sources.
1. Communities in Schools - Construction Skills program (have served 29 of 26 estimated)
a. Total Increase of +$1,156
b. Increase of +$7,614 to Local In-Kind funds from private funding
c. Decrease of -$5,958 to Local In-Kind funds from private funding
d. Decrease of -$500 to Local In-Kind funds
e. Reasons for increase: Serving more clients than initially estimated; Executive Director & professional carpenter have assumed more duties; program has worked on several extended large projects; increase to rent, increased transportation costs, end of year celebration for clients.
f. Reasons for decrease: Administrative Support staff member & Financial Administrator was not hired; adjustments for estimated expenses which were less than original budget (Supplies, meals)
