BACKGROUND

background

Through funding from Epidemiology/Communicable Disease Branch, DHHS -  Public Health Division has contracted with Wake Forest University Health Sciences staff for resistant gonorrhea rapid detection and response activities. Wake Forest will collaborate with Public Health to explore mechanisms to increase local lab capacity by piloting new methods of gonorrhea resistance testing and developing novel strategies for rapid response to antimicrobial-resistant gonorrhea. The contract amount is $429,281 and the effective period of this contract is 6/01/2017-05/31/2018.
