RESOLUTION
Resolution
WHEREAS, on Veterans Day, we honor the generations of women and men who have served and sacrificed for the United States of America. Our veterans have defended the values that make us strong so that our nation could stand as a citadel of liberty, a beacon of freedom, and a wellspring of possibilities; and
WHEREAS, during this time we thoughtfully consider all our veterans, who put their lives on the line to protect our democracy, values, and freedom around the world. On Veterans Day, we salute the Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines, and Coast Guardsmen who have rendered the highest service any American can offer, and we rededicate ourselves to fulfilling our commitment to all who serve; and
WHEREAS, it has long been custom to commemorate November 11th, the anniversary of the ending of World War I, by paying tribute to the heroes and to the cause of peace. Congress passed a resolution on June 4, 1928, calling for the observance of November 11th with appropriate ceremonies, and lat...
