BACKGROUND

Background

Guilford and Forsyth Counties entered into an interlocal agreement in January 1996 related to Triad Park.  That agreement was reaffirmed in a subsequent amendment in June 2007, but was specific to operating and ownership.  Currently, Guilford County and the City of Greensboro are in need of an 800 MHz tower site in western Guilford County and have mutually agreed upon a site within Triad Park.  Forsyth County has agreed to a location in the northern portion of the Park with no potential for future or current development, but is used for maintenance and supply staging.
