BACKGROUND

Background

The Guilford County Sheriff's Office is in receipt of funds as part of the 2020 HIDTA grant in the amount of $213,549.  These funds will be used for overtime, travel, technology (phone/data cards), etc. and professional services (other law enforcement agency overtime/fringes for work on the taskforce).  All HIDTA grant funds are for the sole purpose of reducing drug trafficking and production in North Carolina. This amount reflects an amended total.  The FY 2020-21 budget included $128,817 for this grant so only $84,732 needs to be appropriated.
