BACKGROUND
Background
Employee Assistance Plan (EAP)
For over 20 years, United Healthcare has provided Employee Assistance Plan services through Care24 to all covered members of the health plan. The $1.25 fee is included in the administrative services total of $32.53 per member per month that the County pays to UHC.
Proposed is a change in providers for EAP services from UHC to McLaughlin Young, for $.98 per employee per month. This change will cover all employees and will offer more comprehensive service to all employees, not just those covered by the health plan.
