BACKGROUND
Background
The FY 2017-18 adopted budget included an estimate of Home and Community Care Block Grant (HCCBG) funding for aging adult in-home aide, day and respite care, nutrition, and transportation programs. An updated funding agreement and plan, attached, are now available. The agreement needs to be approved and the budget amended up by $3,754 to reflect additional intergovernmental funding for qualified services. The required local match adjustment of $676 will come from existing budgeted funds in Health and Human Services - Social Services

REQUESTED ACTION
Requested Action
Approve the attached updated FY 2017-18 Home and Community Block Grant for Older Adults agreement and funding plan and increase Health and Human Services - Social Services budget by $10,439, decrease the Transportation budget by $6,685, and increase Federal/State revenue by $3,754. Authorize staff to make and approve any necessary adjustments to agency service contracts to match the updated plan funding.
