BACKGROUND
Background
Budget adjustment is needed to account for unanticipated health care plan expenses. Due to an unusually large number and amount of high cost/catastrophic health care claims additional funds are needed to account for the increase in utilization.

REQUESTED ACTION
Requested Action
Authorize transfer of $500,000 from 197135-53270 (retiree claims) to 197130-53270 (active claims), and appropriate $600,000 from 197130-47101 (internal service fund balance) to 197130-53270 (active claims).
