BACKGROUND

Background

This agenda item is authorizing a sale of older public safety radios and accessories due to prior year Board action to replace public safety radios for Guilford County departments (Agenda 2024-203). It is anticipated that the sale of these legacy radios and accessories will net at least $200,000 on the secondary market. The net proceeds received from the disposal will be brought back to the Board of Commissioners for receipt and to be allocated against the project to purchase new radios (320302510).

This action is necessary to begin the process to dispose of these assets.
