BACKGROUND
Background
The State of North Carolina, specifically the Department of Adult Corrections, and Guilford County wish to enter into a lease of office space for 3,308 square feet at 505 E. Green Street, High Point, NC; 11,250 square feet at 211 S. Centennial Street, High Point, NC; 3,166 net square feet at 201 S. Eugene Street, Greensboro, NC with a term of three (3) years beginning on January 1, 2022 and expiring on December 31, 2024. The lease rate will be $1.00 per term. The lease of space to the State Department of Public Safety for the use of Probation and Parole function is required by statute.

Requested Action
Approve, in substantial form, a three (3) year lease agreement, effective March 1, 2025 through February 29, 2028, for rental of office space at 505 E. Green Street and 211 S. Centennial Street, High Point, NC, and 201 S. Eugene Street Greensboro, NC to the North Carolina Department of Adult Corrections and authorize staff to take all reasonable actions to finalize and execute said lease(s).
