BACKGROUND

Background

The Guilford County Soil and Water Conservation District has received a Conservation Technology Acquisition Grant (attached Agreement Page 3 of 4 - Activity #3) in the amount not to exceed $6,490 to acquire a Trimble GPS 7X Unit and Pathfinder Software.  The maximum $6,490 represents an allowable 75% of total acquisition cost with the remaining 25% previously approved as part of the Soil and Water Conservation District FY 2015-2016 budget.

The estimated total acquisition cost of $8,015 includes all supporting software and equipment necessary for the District to successfully use the technology, which will aid in the design of water resource conservation practices.

The estimated Guilford County District's 25% cost share is $2004 of the total cost (approximately $8015), which is currently budgeted with the remaining 75% (approximately $6,012) of the total cost reimbursable by the NC Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, upon purchase and submission of required documentation.
