BACKGROUND
Background
Guilford County Public Health - Environmental Health Division performs environmental investigations for families with children who are six (6) years old or less who have confirmed elevated blood lead (EBL) levels. Guilford County Environmental Health conducted such investigations in accordance with protocols set forth by the Environmental Health Section in the NC Division of Public Health (DPH). Environmental Health independently performed childhood lead services in lieu of receiving state assistance and the Environmental Health Section performed the Medicaid billing when there were eligible cases. Guilford County had six (6) Medicaid eligible cases between January 1, 2015 - March 31, 2016, receiving $2,623.50, at a rate of $437.25 per child.

Requested Action
Approve an increase in User Charges in the amount of $2,624, and increase the Department of Health and Human Services - Public Health Division FY2015-16 budget by the same amount in order to reflect funds received from the NC Division of Public Health - Environmental Health Section.
