BACKGROUND

Background

Through a contract with Guilford County Partnership for Children, Guilford County Department of Health and Human Services - Public Health Division receives Smart Start funding for the following programs: Newborn Home Visiting Program, which offers nurse home visits to all deliveries throughout Guilford County; and Child Care Consultation Program, which promotes healthy and safe environments for children in child care settings through consultation, training, and technical assistance services. We are requesting to decrease the FY2016 budget by $8,816 in order to align the budget to actual amount of funds awarded for both programs in the amount of $804,328.
