BACKGROUND
Background
Guilford County wishes to enter into a Lease for space consisting of a bay within the body of the Fire Department consisting of 706 total square feet, a 130 square foot room within the fire department, and share in the maintenance and use of 544 square feet of space within the Fire Station located at 6012 Liberty Road, Climax, NC. This is a continuation of an existing arrangement to co-locate County EMS at this location.
Guilford County would like to enter into the lease beginning July 1, 2023 for a period of five (5) years, expiring June 30, 2028.
Rent for this lease is $5,500 annually.

Requested Action
Approve, in substantial form, the five (5) year lease agreement beginning July 1, 2023 expiring June 30, 2028 to lease space at 6012 Liberty Road, Climax, NC, from Southeast Volunteer Fire Department Inc., and authorize staff to take all reasonable actions to finalize and execute said lease.
