BACKGROUND

Background

Since January 1, 2013, Guilford County has leased property located at 5209 W. Wendover Avenue, High Point, NC (the Site) for operation of mental health and behavioral health treatment services. Daymark Recovery Services Inc. (Daymark) has been the most recent contracted service provider at the location.  Daymark will be relocating their operation from 5209 W Wendover, to the newly renovated facilities at 1411 Lees Chapel.

 

Daymark Recovery Services, Inc. and Guilford County mutually desire to enter into a thirty-six (36) month lease of 3.88+/- acres of real property and improvements located at 1411 Lees Chapel Rd. Greensboro, NC 27405 for thirty-six (36) months beginning on January 1, 2026 and ending on December 31, 2029, at an annual rental rate of $1.00.

Requested Action

Approve, in substantial form, a thirty-six (36) month lease agreement with Daymark Recovery Services, Inc. for lease of 3.88+/- acres of real property and improvements located at 1411 Lees Chapel Rd., Greensboro, NC 27405, and authorize staff to take all reasonable actions to finalize and execute said lease.
