BACKGROUND
Background
Bethany Medical Center, PA/Peters Development, LLC was awarded (award letter attached)a Bldg. Reuse Grant (#2023-021-3201-2587) from the NC Dept. of Commerce in the amount of $300k to create 30 new full-time jobs by renovating a 4,912 sq. ft. space at the Company’s location at 108 W. The NC Department of Commerce indicates that it can consider a 12-month extension which would provide Bethany Medical Center, PA an additional six (6) months to create additional new jobs and then six (6) months to hold all of those jobs (baseline and new job commitment).

Guilford County Legal Department has verified that there are no revisions necessary to the previously-approved Supplemental Agreement as a result of this extension, if approved. The Supplemental Agreement indicates that no grant dollars will be disbursed by Guilford County until review and verification by NC Department of Commerce once final grant docum...
