BACKGROUND
background
The attached agreements provide funding for library services within Guilford County. The County does not provide library services directly, so funds are distributed to the cities of Greensboro (the state-recognized county library system for Guilford County) and High Point (a state-recognized municipal library) to provide these services. These agreements were previously approved, in substantial form, by the Guilford County Board of Commissioners at the May 19, 2016 meeting; however, subsequent revisions were negotiated with the Cities to revise Paragraph 3, Annual Payment to CITY, which states the process in which the municipalities will calculate the annual fee of the agreements for the remaining four (4) fiscal years beginning July 1, 2017.
