BACKGROUND
Background
Regulation Number 27 - Performance Management, was amended on December 17, 2015. During the consolidation of the previous Regulation 13 (Anniversary Date/Probationary Period) and Regulation 27 (Performance Management) a sentence was inadvertently deleted. As a result, Regulation 27 should be amended to include the following sentence to the end of Section A of the regulation: "During the introductory period, an employee may be discontinued in employment for any reason except an unlawful one; this action will be reported to the County Manager in a timely manner." This correction clarifies the initial intent of the consolidation of the two policies.

Approve addition of the following sentence to Regulation Number 27, Performance Management, at the end of Section A: "During the introductory period, an employee may be discontinued in employment for any reason except an unlawful one; this action will be reported to the County Manager in a timely manner."
