BACKGROUND
Background
On December 21, 2023, the Board of Commissioners awarded contracts for vehicle maintenance and repair services for all County vehicles. In addition to monitoring spending trends, the Fiscal Year 2026
Budget included additional funds:
- $75,000 in the General Fund for Fleet Operations based on increased in maintenance trends.
- $204,000 in the Internal Service Fund - Risk Management, for maintenance to vehicles involved in accidents.
These two (2) adjustments result in a need to increase contracts by $361,815 for Fiscal Year 2026 and six (6) months of Fiscal Year 2027.
Additionally, the County has adjusted estimated not to exceed amounts based on current spending trends and will reduce those estimated amounts for specific vendors by $908,185. Those amounts will be shifted to other vendors based on current spending trends. The total net increase across these adjustments is $361,815. There is no impact to the overall budgeted amounts.
