BACKGROUND
Background
Guilford County seeks to update existing photography with new aerial images on an annual basis. This was approved as part of the reappraisal budget process and will draw from that budget. This upgrade will allow the Tax Department to maximize our human resources and work more efficiently. The upgrade to annual images will allow us to capture new buildings more effectively, which adds to the overall tax base.
Pictometry International Corporation is a sole source supplier due to their software application Eagleview's exclusive integration with the Farragut North Carolina Property Tax System (NCPTS) used by the county for property tax administration.

Approve in substantial form, a sole source agreement with Pictometry International Corporation, for a three (3) year total of $837,300 as authorized by G.S. 143-129 (e) (6) provides that formal bidding requirements do not apply when a needed product is available from only one source or supply.
