BACKGROUND
background
Guilford County contracts with Munro Muffler Brake, D/B/A Clark Tire, for our basic vehicle maintenance and repair services. The initial contract was for three (3) years, with the option to extend for two (2) one-year renewals, and will end on June 30, 2017. The County is now opting to exercise the renewal options set forth in the initial contract, with a one (1) year renewal effective July 1, 2017 and ending June 30, 2018. County Departments located in High Point will have access to vehicle maintenance services at Thomas Tires in High Point, through their competitively bid state contract with the North Carolina Sherriffs Association.

Approve a price only contract renewal, in substantial form, with Munro Muffler Brake D/B/A Clark Tire (located at 401 North Elm Street, Greensboro, NC 27401) in the amount of $480,000, for vehicle maintenance and repair services. Terms of the contract are one (1) year, effective July 1, 2017 and ending June 30, 2018.
