BACKGROUND
Background
The Human Resources Department is currently reviewing the Personnel Regulations and it will bring proposed updates to the Board of County Commissioners for its review and approval. The proposed Personnel Regulation #44 - Personnel Records Management Policy is to ensure Guilford County's compliance with North Carolina General Statute 153A-98 for maintaining the privacy of employee personnel records except for information deemed public by the General Statutes. Further, this new personnel regulation will provide transparency and guidance for supervisors and employees in the administration of personnel records.
