BACKGROUND

Background

At the November 4, 2021 meeting the Board of County Commissioners approved a “Notice of Intent” and directed county staff to complete an application to the Local Government Commission for approval to issue general obligation bonds for school facility projects in an amount not to exceed and up to $1,700,000,000.

RESOLUTION

Resolution

The next step in the process is to obtain approval for the Board of Commissioners to consider the following resolutions:

 

(1)  Making certain required findings,

 

(2)  Introducing the bond order authorizing $1,700,000,000 of general obligation bonds for school facilities, the acquisition and construction of new school facilities, the improvement and expansion of existing school facilities, and the acquisition and installation of furnishings and equipment and the acquisition of interests in real property required therefore, and to pay capital costs of such improvements, and

 

(3)  Calling for a public hearing on the bond order to be held at the meeting on December 2, 2021.

 

The requested action is approval of the resolutions.
